Modesty and Class Can Thrive

The last time we spoke about Beckham was when he moved to LA. This time we are going about David Beckham coming home! We are going to speak about Beckham the man, the man who might be able to change the fortunes of English National Football and become the National team's coach sooner or later.

Our views and position on many issues at times are controversial but, if we were to follow the well trodden path, then we might as well turn off the buttons and cease to exist.

New National Football Coach Must Be English

The issue of a local, English coach for the National Football team resurfaces every now and then and more so, when the national team performs abysmally badly. Well, no worse performance comes to mind than the latest South African show by the England Nationl Team. Blame whoever, players, coaches, manager, referee, circumstances etc. All had a small contribution to that awful performance.

We believe that the issues with the National team are multiple and the coach and his nationality is a serious issue.

How come the German team with inferior quality players did better?

How come all major national teams had managers from that nationality?

How come England is the only major football federation with a foreign coach?

How come Capello is Italian and he costs six million pounds a year, four teams as much as the next expensive manager of a national team?

How come our national coaches prove no good and yet, they were the ones that had the best results for the country in managers such as Ramsey, Venebles, Robson, Hoddle?

Our FA should appoint an English manager. We saw what is is needed and we can say how we should proceed.

Plan ten years from now, not tomorrow. Plan for 2018 not 2012. Plan with an English manager who knows the players, who feels the players, feels the country and can inspire his players and aspire high together with them.

We need David Beckham. We need the man the nation knows well, the kids love and the teenagers know. We need the man who can inspire our players and lead them by example to the top. Inspiration is the word, aspiration is the other word and hard work to achieve those aspirations.

David is already involved with the national team. He is respected by all and he will bring respect and achievement to the team with hard work and good, long term organisation.

FA, stop ignoring our talent and learn form the young coaches who have made a name for themselves on the team level and national team level elsewhere.
