Will a horse with a healed tendon injury

Will a horse with a healed tendon injury have problems with it later on in life?
I am looking to own a horse that has had a serious tendon injury in the past. He got into some barbed wire a couple of years ago and tore some tendons. He had to have surgery to fix it. The owner said he's completely fine now and it doesn't affect him anymore and I trust her because she is my cousin. But I was wondering if that will start affecting him later on in his life. He is 13 right now.

There are so many cases where tendons have been treated and remained fine afterwards.


We cannot see any reason why this one will not hold fine as we assume it will be bought for fun.
