Cheltenham Festival Neas and Updates- Selection Hints
Cheltenham Festival 2009
Only six days to go now

**** WEird Al is running in the RSA and will be ridden by Paddy Brennan. Ian Williams made that known and Paddy will also school the horse. Williams horses have been in some great form. This one is with a very good chance but so are others.

*** Also Williams announced that Fredo will go for the Prentemps Hurdle

*** Won In The Dark might run for the Champion Hurdle crown. He is got a chance on older form but new stars are there.

*** Whatever comments we make we will stick with proven horses and form and that brings to the fore Punjabi, Zaynar, Celestial Halo, Medermit

**** Expected going at Cheltenham looks for sure to be good but English weather, you know!

 Punters Diary, 8th and 9th March 2010
Punters Diary
Back After A Few Weeks

Guys, in case you wondered what happened to me, let me assure you of one thing at least.

I am alive, I am kicking and I am losing money still.

Where does it come from, I hear a few of you asking me?

Well, I do have a few winners to carry me on and that happended yesterday and today.

Blazing Buck was a great tip by Pat, Onlooker agreed with him too and I had to back it well. So, did I muck about, did I make any money  or

What the sh.... did I do?

I nearly blew it guys but.....

There was a first time for everything yesterday and this is what happened.

I spoke to a friend and he said let me put some money on this horse too. His 10.00EW became 15.00EW with my ten pound note. At 12/1 at the time we were happy knowing that best prices are paid at Better.

Then I started backing it on the net when it was 14/1 by 5.0EW, 18/1 by 5.00 EW and I think the last I backed it was 10.00EW at 21/1. I left the machine, I walked to Better shop at bout 3.55 and stayed there until the race.

Anybody and everybody who was there backed the tip of Pat at 14/1 and 16/1 just before the off.  This was a horse I felt confident about for a million reasons. He ran exactly as I expected and as Pat said.  With the pace, going easily, three out they all started pushing but he was going well and very well he finished clear of the rest.

Come on Blazing, go on boy, do not stop now. That's it, jump and burry the bookies. It was a great race and the smiles were all over the shop. The shouting was deafening and some screamed for quiet but...

This lot never stops when his horse is up to win. I had 15.00EW on him and then I had another 20.00 win plus a few pounds on the palce at home on the exchanges.

With 860.00 pounds profit on the two days, it was a fitting celebration and birthday present. Well done connections.

I felt great, I bought the drinks and all were happy with a winning tip.

However, Tuesady was not to be the same was it?

Well, it was not bad at all.

Pat named a good EW tip at 9/1 nad 2.4 the place. Great value. Helm ran a good race but the weight concession was not enough and the going was good rather than soft at the end of the day. However, no losses and my 40.00 bet returned 30.00 profit.

I had a 50.00 LAY on Teescomponents as Pat said at 0.97 and that returned me another 50.00 profit. However, I was not finished for the day. I still had one at Southwell up my sleeve. Bold Diva drifted from 4.5 to 5.5 and I backedit agin by 10.00. By the end of the race I had 99.00 profit on the win and 75.00 on the place win at 1.5 return.

I could not believe my eyes at the odds. The race returned me another 170.00 profit and in two days I am on cloud nine. Nearly one thousand pounds winnings.

Ring the bells guys! Come on Pat, give us a few better tips, man!

The wheel of luck turned to my favour these last two days after horrible falls of sure winners. I know it will change again but I pray it will after Cheltenham.

Celebrate with me guys and I hope your last few days were as good as mine.

Madpunter is always mad but ...

Now?

I am mad with some money to back my fancies at Cheltenham. Woouuuu!!"!!!

Master Minded, Queen Mary Chase, 17th March Cheltenham
Cheltenham Festival 2009
Will Master Minded Master Them Once Again?

The Queen Mary Chase has always been the scene of a great champion over two miles.

Master Minded is such a champion and to try to find a horse to beat him is sheer folly. Rather we will try to name the two other horses to fill the three first positions in the race after Master Minded.

It is never easy to do that but it looks straight forward for in this particular case. Mind you, whenever we say such silly things it never happens as it is too ovbious and too easy.

The first two we see to follow the master should be Big Zeb and Petit Robin.

If the race becomes an absolute sprint from the off then we see the likes of Kalahari King and Tranquil Sea running on and placing themselves.

More on the race once we know the exact composition of the race and the riders arrangements.
